Who is Benjamin Perrin: Most Canadians had never heard of the former lawyer for Prime Minster Stephen Harper – until Thursday. During testimony in the trial of Sen. Mike Duffy, Benjamin Perrin said the PM’s current chief of staff, Ray Novak, was told at least twice about the plan to cover Duffy’s disputed expenses. The Conservatives have maintained Novak never heard of the plan for his predecessor, Nigel Wright, to come up with the $90,000 from his own pocket.

Future of the Forks: The public has a chance to view plans for the 12 -acre area known as the rail side lands and Parcel 4 across from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. While the idea of a waterslide on Parcel 4 was killed by controversy, other ideas will be outlined with nifty drawings at The Forks Market Centre Court from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
