River rising: The Red River floodway gates will operate today at 10 a.m. after the ice began moving freely thorough the control structure on Thursday. The measure comes as about 75,000 sandbags were delivered to about 50 homes in low-lying areas across the city in anticipation of Red River levels not seen since the flood of 2011.
