Arrest in brutal attack: A man wanted in connection with what police called a “vicious” attack on a teenage student from India inside Portage Place was apprehended last night. Brown steps down: Patrick Brown announced early this morning he has resigned as leader of Ontario’s Progressive Conservative party amid accusations of sexual misconduct. On Wednesday, Nova Scotia Tory leader Jamie Baillie resigned after an investigation determined he acted inappropriately and breached the legislature’s policy on workplace harassment. READ MORE
City to decide on sale: City council will vote today on selling the old Vimy Arena property to Manitoba Housing for $1 so an addictions recovery centre can be built there. The executive policy committee unanimously approved the controversial proposal.
