Hundreds without hydro: Power has been restored for hundreds of customers in the Cooks Creek and Birds Hill areas who had been without service for much of Monday. Manitoba Hydro, which had earlier advised that people “find a safe place to stay the night,” says power was fully resorted at about 11:20 p.m.

Raise speed limit, report says: The city’s public works committee will today discuss a report that recommends increasing the speed limit on part of Pembina Highway south of the La Salle River bridge from 60 km/h to 70 km/h. A public consultation process determined 74 per cent of area residents supported the proposed change.
