Free Press Head Start for July 22

Good morning.

Pope Francis is set to land in Edmonton on Sunday before going to Quebec City and Iqaluit later next week.

“I don’t want to say the election is over,” then-U.S. president Donald Trump said in a previously unaired outtake of an address to the nation the day after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin, the Republican candidate for New York governor and a vocal supporters of Trump, was assaulted by a man who apparently tried to stab him Thursday night.

U.S. President Joe Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday and is isolating, is scheduled to meet virtually with his economic team and senior advisers today to discuss congressional priorities.
