Good morning.

A lovely weekend is in the forecast for Winnipeg, with highs of 27 C and 28 C expected. After several consecutive days of special air-quality statements being issued by Environment Canada because of smoke from wildfires, no weather alerts of any kind are in effect for any part of Manitoba.

The NHL draft begins at 7 p.m. CT. The Winnipeg Jets have the 18th overall pick.

At least 32 people were killed in western India by landslides caused by monsoons.
