On June 10, 1964: The Winnipeg Free Press reported flood waters in Great Falls, Mont., had caused US$10 million worth of damage, forced 2,000 from their homes and resulted in 30 deaths. The Cypriot government went before the UN Security Council again, charging that Turkey was threatening to invade the Mediterranean island.
