Manslaughter charges in Mountie’s death: A man and a woman from Winnipeg are scheduled to appear in court in connection with the killing of RCMP Const. Shelby Patton in Saskatchewan this weekend. A report from Tokyo, with sources in Vladovistok, said the Bolshevik government in Moscow had been overthrown, Leon Trotsky was killed and premier Vladimir Lenin had escaped. London had received no confirmation of this news, though the Bolsheviks had reportedly occupied Kyiv.
