Searching for suspect: A man RCMP had been searching for as a person of interest in the disappearance of Clifford Joseph is now a homicide suspect. Eric Paul Wildman, 34, is considered armed and dangerous and might have access to police gear, Manitoba RCMP said Monday. READ MORE
Ontario opening border: Ontario will reopen its borders as of 11:01 p.m. CT. Anyone returning to Manitoba will still be required to quarantine for two weeks unless they are fully vaccinated. On June 15, 1940: The Winnipeg Free Press reported that in the ongoing Second World War, German forces were driving French troops back; the French mounted rearguard actions including counterattacks along the northern front from Argonne to the sea. All Canadian arms and fighting forces were being dispatched to France. The British and French ambassadors to the U.S. were set to meet with president Franklin Roosevelt. Talks in Ottawa regarding Manitoba’s plan for home guard arrangements were inconclusive.
