On June 27, 1991: The Winnipeg Free Press reported that a St. Laurent man was injured when his dog inadvertently shot him with a .22 rifle when the animal’s fur got stuck in the trigger; he lost consciousness, but the dog then revived her owner by licking his face and tugging his shirt, and was able to drag him to his home so he could get to his phone and call for help.
