Good morning.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced more money for Ukraine, including a $200-million loan through the International Monetary Fund, on the final day of the G7 summit in Germany. The leaders also announced that they will phase out or ban the import of oil and coal from Russia because of that country’s war with Ukraine. Rescuers in Ukraine continue to search the charred rubble of a shopping mall where 18 people were killed in a missile strike. Trudeau will head from Germany to Spain later today for a NATO summit.

More than half of Canadians do not think people should have to swear allegiance to the Queen, a poll released ahead of Canada Day found.

Freedom Convoy organizer Tamara Lich has been arrested, her lawyer said last night. She was released on bail after the massive protest in Ottawa earlier this year.
