Seeking study: Representatives of the Rail Yard Relocation Project are scheduled to meet with Mayor Brian Bowman at city hall this morning. The group says it’s pushing for the city to order a feasibility study on relocating the CPR yards, “which have historically divided Winnipeg.”
Fake facts: U.S. President Donald Trump said in a speech at a fundraiser Wednesday he made up claims about trade in a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In a recording of the comments obtained by the Washington Post, Trump said that after Trudeau told him the U.S. doesn’t have a trade deficit with Canada, he told the PM, “Wrong, Justin, you do,” then added, “I didn’t even know… I had no idea.” READ MORE

The government agreed to amend its lawsuit last week to remove Omnitrax, leaving only a subsidiary.
