Trudeau talks in TO: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is holding a “climate action” rally in Toronto tonight, a day before the Liberal party rolls out ads in the four provinces — including Manitoba — that refused to levy their own carbon taxes. On March 4, 1914: The Manitoba Free Press reported that in Ottawa, the Social Service congress of Canada sought to build links between organized labour and church groups with the purpose of improving social conditions in Canada. In Toronto, the editor of the Haileyburian, C.C. Farr, reported on his experience investigating how immigrants were treated; he dressed as an immigrant and on his way to visit the British Welcome league, he was arrested as a vagrant and confined for two days.
