On March 5, 1924: The Manitoba Free Press reported that in Washington, D.C., two Congressmen were charged with graft, having allegedly taken money to obtain pardons and paroles. Regina’s G. Garfield Wray, president of the Saskatchewan Retail Merchants’ association, said in an interview with the Free Press that the trade outlook for 1924 was better. In Manitoba, a bill to incorporate the Manitoba Co-operative Wheat Producers was passed.
