Tuition hike: The University of Winnipeg’s board of regents approved a tuition hike of 6.6 per cent for 2018-19 at a meeting last night. Including fee adjustments, the increase is 6.1 per cent, or $265 for a student taking a full course load. The province reduced its grant to the downtown university for next year by 0.9 per cent.
Gripped by grief: The man charged with impaired driving causing death in a crash that killed three boys who were on a road near Nelson House has a prior conviction for impaired driving. A vigil was held last night at the scene of the collision. Alexandra Paul reports. READ MORE
