Government to be grilled: Members of the Liberal government, including Northern Affairs Minister Dan Vandal, will face questions about what it’s doing to prevent COVID-19 from spreading through First Nations reserves and Inuit communities in a virtual committee meeting today. Canadian icon Leonard Cohen wowed a diverse crowd at the MTS Centre. Broadway heavyweights mingled with Winnipeg theatregoers at the world premiere of The Boys in the Photograph, the new musical from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton. A proposed redevelopment of the city’s Central Park would see the public green space get a soccer pitch with artificial turf, a huge toboggan slide, and the city’s largest outdoor spray park. A volunteer group met all the city’s requirements to create a heritage park on the grounds of the former Upper Fort Garry.
