Your forecast: Truth be told, the anonymous writer of Head Start is grumpy about the weather today because the spring temperatures have coaxed dandelions to erupt on the lawn like cancerous tumors. And Mrs. Head Start is environmentally conscious and won’t let us use herbicides, if there are any in Manitoba that have not yet been banned, so this evening we shall get on our knees and dig out these demonic dandelions by their infernal roots, while the other guys get to watch the NHL playoffs. Today’s high is 13 C, with a mix of sun and cloud, and wind from the northwest at 30 km/h early in the afternoon.

A fine greeting from the city: If an envelope from the City of Winnipeg appears in your old-fashioned home mailbox this week, and you open it with curiosity to find a photograph of the rear end of your vehicle, you’ve been nabbed.
