Apartment building crackdown: The owners of as many as 325 apartment buildings in Winnipeg have been notified their properties might not comply with a 30-year-old fire safety bylaw. Portage and Main: The latest plan for a 40-storey apartment tower planned for the intersection of Portage and Main is to add a daycare and fitness club, joining a restaurant and grocery store that were already planned for the development that should be completed in the spring of 2020.
