On Nov. 19, 1906: The Manitoba Free Press reported that a three-day storm that had hit the Canadian west was one of the worst in 20 years; railway traffic was paralyzed from the lakes to the mountains, with some train wrecks; telegraph lines were affected; and a cyclone had hit Fort William.
