Jets in Finland 2.0: All eyes will be on Winnipeg Jets winger Patrik Laine today for the second of two games against the Florida Panthers in Finland, which is Laine’s home country. Violence aboard buses: The union that represents city bus drivers accuses Winnipeg Transit of withholding information about dangerous and violent altercations on buses. The most recent incident was a violent assault during rush hour on Wednesday when a male pulled out a knife on a packed bus, resulting in a brawl and two arrests. Silver Cross Mother: A Winnipeg mother who fought to have her son’s death by suicide recognized by the military has been named this year’s Silver Cross Mother by the Royal Canadian Legion. On Remembrance Day, Anita Cenerini will place a wreath at the National War Memorial in Ottawa on behalf of all Canadian mothers who have lost sons or daughters in the service of the military.
