On Nov. 29, 2012: The Winnipeg Free Press reported that Winnipeggers turned out in droves for the grand opening of the city’s first IKEA store. Ottawa offered First Nations half of the former Kapyong Barracks site to settle the land-claims dispute. Visits to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights were expected to bring in $3 million annually in revenue.
