Free Press Head Start for Sept. 27

Good morning.

A 26-year-old man who was shot and killed in the North End this weekend was a loving father who travelled home to Pinaymootang First Nation as often as possible, his sister told the Free Press.

Manitoba health officials will hold their regular Monday news conference on the pandemic.

Green Leader Annamie Paul will make an announcement in Toronto this morning but won’t be taking questions from reporters. La Presse is reporting she will resign after her party’s abysmal results in last week’s federal election.

Lawyers will meet before a U.S. federal judge today to discuss whether John Hinckley Jr., who shot and wounded president Ronald Reagan in 1981, should be freed from court-imposed restrictions.
