Your forecast: You’ll need to brush off your vehicle again this morning. We received some light snow overnight, but it should end soon and the sun will begin to peek through the clouds by noon. The daytime high temperature today is -3 C. On Wednesday, the milder temperatures continue but there’s a 60 per cent chance of flurries, a risk of freezing rain and wind gusts up to 40 km/h. On Thursday, expect a sunny day and a high of -7 C, while Environment Canada is calling for a high of -1 C on Friday.

True North Square has tenant: Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, a 129-year-old law firm and one of Winnipeg’s largest, plans to move from Portage and Main into True North Square, the $400-million mixed-use project planned for the south side of Graham Avenue. It plans to become an anchor tenant in a three-building complex planned for a pair of vacant lots on either side of Carlton Street. READ MORE

On Feb. 23, 1993: The Winnipeg Free Press reported that commercial property and owner-occupied condominiums would be hit with property tax increases of between 3 to 6.5 per cent and that a general property tax freeze was impossible. The provincial government gave the new board chairman of the Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation a 75 per cent salary increase over his predecessor.
