Accused of killing bus driver: The trial of a man accused of killing bus driver Jubal Fraser begins today. Fraser, 58, had ended his route at the University of Manitoba on Feb. 14, 2017, when one passenger refused to get off the bus and a fight ensued that ended with Fraser’s death. On Jan. 21, 1921: The Manitoba Free Press reported that the United States was spearheading an international disarmament plan, proposing negotiations between the U.S., Great Britain and Japan to reduce naval programs. British Major General Strickland said that the imposition of martial law in Ireland was proving successful. In Belgium, the automobile of King Albert, returning to Brussels, collided with two children, killing one; the king, who was in the vehicle at the time, was “greatly perturbed” by the event.
