Providing shelter to furry friends

Happy Monday!

Winnipegger Nick Merrells is helping protect stray cats in East Kildonan by providing makeshift dwellings to keep the creatures warm in winter.

The kind-hearted Merrells has built 130 crates so far and says people are happy with the shelters, which are scattered across private and public properties in Winnipeg.

Meanwhile, another cat lover, Ken Lewicki, is proving his devotion to whiskered wayfarers after agreeing to adopt fostered littermates Daisy and Toby, who I wrote about in last week’s Ready Pet Go!

Lewicki, who had fostered Daisy previously, is expected to bring the pair home later this week.

Have a great week!
