A Dauphin man charged in a fatal drunk driving collision that killed two young girls in 2019 was found not guilty today, sparking outrage in a courtroom full of family and friends of the two children. “Even if I believe that Winters is probably guilty, or likely guilty, that is not sufficient,” Justice Sandra Zinchuk said before delivering her decision. Reporter Tyler Searle was in the courtroom.
Some Manitoba students are marking the end of the 2022-23 academic year without a final bell as silent school transitions grow in popularity. Instead of loud rings and buzzes, teachers and students check classroom clocks and make scheduling changes accordingly. Education reporter Maggie Macintosh explores the reason for the change.
