Good evening. Here’s a look at what our newsroom has been working on today:

A 25-year-old man charged in a crash that seriously injured two Winnipeg police officers has been struggling with meth addiction and desperately needs treatment, his mother told the Free Press.

The popular exotic butterfly exhibit at The Leaf was shuttered only after a federal government inspection and not by the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.

Columnist Mike McIntyre would like to know what the heck is going on with the Winnipeg Jets that a player like Pierre-Luc Dubois is so eager to get a one-way ticket out of town at his earliest opportunity.

And the Springfield Polo Club turns 50 this summer so to mark the milestone, members are hosting an open house on June 17, at their home base in Birds Hill Provincial Park, off of Nimowin Road.
