Good evening. Here’s a look at what our newsroom has been working on today:
A protest that blocked the main entrance to the Brady Road landfill for almost two weeks came to a peaceful end today, while demonstrators vowed further action to pressure governments to support searches.
Brian Anderson and Allan John (A.J.) Woodhouse were acquitted today in court of the first-degree murder charges they were convicted of in 1974. The Crown said at the hearing the detective squad responsible for their fake confessions was involved in other wrongful convictions.
Tristan Peters, the only current drafted MLB player from our province, is working hard to keep moving up the ladder and hopefully land in the big leagues sooner rather than later.
