The Wrap: Coyote killed, Point Douglas blaze, and the search for French teachers

Good evening. Here’s a look at what our newsroom has been working on today:

An adult coyote has been located and euthanized after two children were attacked in the North Kildonan area in recent weeks. But: provincial officials did not say if the coyote was believed to be responsible for any of the attacks. It has been sent for testing and patrols are continuing.

A massive fire at an industrial site in Winnipeg’s Point Douglas neighbourhood could take days to extinguish — and neighbourhood residents are worried about air-quality concerns.

And: Manitoba has launched a new strategy to recruit and retain French language teachers amid a chronic shortage.
