The Wrap: Fort Gibraltar collapse, sex-shop thefts, hockey masks

Good evening. Here are a few stories our newsroom’s been working on today.

A school field trip ended up in a hospital emergency room for 17 children and one adult after an elevated platform collapsed at Fort Gibraltar.

This story has our newsroom buzzing: Adult sex shops are regular targets for break-ins and shoplifting. Some owners believe their stolen merchandise is resold online.

Full-face protection will be required for players 18 and younger in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s 2023-24 season.

And: Members of Parliament voted to oust David Johnston from his role probing allegations of foreign interference. The former governor general released a statement following the vote saying he has a duty to do the work and would not step down.
