The Wrap: McKay aftermath, landfill injunction, Nino Niederreiter and a trip to Winnipeg… Missouri

Good evening. Here’s a look at what our newsroom has been working on today:

Katie May reports on the long-term impact sexual assault had on the lives of victims of then-high school football coach Kesley McKay, who pleaded guilty yesterday to charges in connection with nine victims.

A judge today said protesters can continue to demonstrate at Winnipeg’s Brady Road landfill, but they cannot block the roadway. The interim injunction came into effect Friday at 6 p.m.

Sports columnist Mike McIntyre caught up with Nino Niederreiter in his native Switzerland for a wide-ranging chat about leadership, life away from the rink, a summer of change for the Jets and his love of Winnipeg.

And: David Sanderson takes us on a trip to southern Missouri, home of the only other Winnipeg on the planet.
