NDP Leader Wab Kinew talked about his experience as an Indigenous man growing up in Manitoba today, addressing his past run-ins with the law and the “tough love” that helped him turn his life around.

“My political opponents want you to think that I’m running from my past,” Kinew said. “But actually, my past is the reason I am running.”
