It’s a late May tradition at Assiniboine Park — work crews literally hit the dirt, transferring tens of thousands of plants from greenhouses to garden beds.

The park features five signature gardens — the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, the English Garden, the Streuber Family Children’s Garden (located in the Nature Playground), the Pollinator Garden and Gardens at The Leaf — along with hundreds more individual plant beds and planters throughout the 1,100-acre park.

We tagged along last week when crews tackled the English Garden.
