The Digital Sales Coordinator provides specialized operational support for digital and social media advertising sold by The Free Press, Brandon Sun, Steinbach Carillon and Community Review sales teams. This role ensures digital advertising and social campaigns are booked, coordinated, executed and monitored accurately and on schedule across multiple platforms.

Working closely with account executives, creative services and clients, the Digital Sales Coordinator supports the successful delivery of digital advertising products, including social media campaigns, while maintaining strong quality control, communication and reporting practices.

Main Objectives

  • Ensure all digital and social advertising is ordered, cleared, and launched correctly and on time
  • Support account executives with the execution of digital advertising solutions
  • Coordinate digital creative and content workflows between clients, sales, and creative teams
  • Maintain effective social media presence and campaign performance tracking

  • Support consistent, professional digital advertising experiences for clients

Key Responsibilities

Digital & Sales Support

  • Assist account executives to ensure all digital advertising is ordered correctly, meets technical specifications and is cleared for publication by departmental deadlines
  • Prepare and process digital advertising paperwork and bookings in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform booking, clearance and tracking tasks using designated advertising systems

Client & Advertiser Coordination

  • Coordinate digital advertising materials with creative services
  • Maintain and communicate technical specifications to account executives, clients and agencies
  • Obtain approval of digital proofs and follow up on revisions as required
  • Monitor digital advertising delivery to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications

Social Media & Digital Content

  • Construct and coordinate social media advertising campaigns in support of sales initiatives
  • Manage social media presence and content on multiple platforms
  • Design and develop engaging digital and social media content consistent with company standards
  • Assist in developing customer engagement and communication strategies for use by the sales team

Analytics & Reporting

  • Utilize social media analytics, metrics and reporting tools to measure campaign effectiveness and monitor performance trends
  • Support reporting and documentation related to digital campaign delivery and results

Other Duties

  • Perform additional digital advertising and sales‑support duties as assigned, consistent with role classification and departmental needs

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Experience in a sales support, digital advertising, marketing, or customer service environment
  • Strong written and digital communication skills
  • Experience managing or coordinating digital or social media content
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications, including MS Office Suite
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize competing demands
  • Positive, professional and collaborative work approach

Preferred

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with digital advertising systems, social media platforms or content management tools
  • Familiarity with basic digital advertising metrics and performance tracking

Working Conditions & Classification

  • Duties, hours, compensation, and posting rights are administered in accordance with the CBA.
  • In-office work, Monday to Friday, 8:30-5pm
