Customer Service Driver – Part Time

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our customers receive their newspapers on time, even when unexpected issues arise. You will be responsible for stepping in when routes are short-staffed, papers are missed, or a last-minute delivery problem occurs. This is a fast paced, hands-on role that requires flexibility, physical stamina and a strong sense of responsibility.

Duties Include:

  • Delivering missed newspapers, sections and advertising flyers to customers throughout Winnipeg using a company supplied vehicle.
  • Covering depot shortages and carrier route gaps on short notice.
  • Delivering extra or replacement papers to dealers when they run short or sell out.
  • Supporting special delivery requests, distribution and marketing campaigns and city routes as needed.
  • Driving through the city and making frequent stops.
  • Lifting, carrying, and handling bundles of newspapers (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Working independently while staying in communication with dispatch.
  • Taking pride in helping customers start their day with a positive experience.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Enjoys staying active and on the move
  • Thrives working independently
  • Dependable and shows up ready to go
  • Open to overnight shifts (1:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
  • Comfortable with physical work and changing weather conditions
  • Confident driving in all seasons
