The Carillon Account Executive – Full Time

Job Description

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our customers receive their newspapers on time, even when unexpected issues arise. You will be responsible for stepping in when routes are short-staffed, papers are missed, or a last-minute delivery problem occurs. This is a fast paced, hands-on role that requires flexibility, physical stamina and a strong sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and increase advertising revenues for all The Carillon products including R.O.P., Digital, Special Features and non-traditional print products.
  • Maintain daily customer contact by personal visits, email, and telephone.
  • Work with the Creative Services Department to create and design advertising campaign layouts and strategies.
  • Prepare customized sales presentations.
  • Service customer accounts, resolving problems with credit, billing, ad placement, production, quality, etc.
  • Conduct all transactions in a professional manner, with integrity.
  • Perform weekly, monthly and yearly account revenue analysis.
  • Attend client functions as required.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience of advertising sales experience or relevant sales.
  • Knowledge of print and digital advertising, proficiency in social media considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Post-Secondary education in Marketing/Sales or equivalent work experience is an asset.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with a CRM system.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and thrive in a busy, high-energy workplace.
