BOOK OF LOVE: Book Launch with Live Flamenco Music and Dance

Robert Stanley Adams spent twenty years writing Book of Love — a collection of spiritual, openly erotic poems. Now in his late seventies and living with Parkinson’s, Robert is bringing the collection to readers in person, travelling by train across the country with his daughter and granddaughter for a rare, intimate reading tour.
Each stop features live flamenco music and dance from Tamar Ilana (Robert’s daughter, a nationally celebrated singer and dancer) and Lia Grainger (professional flamenco dancer and the book’s editor), performed in honour of the collection.
Rooted in his Cree-Saulteaux heritage, Book of Love reads as much like prayer as desire — poems on intimacy, memory, and union, unguarded and unlike anything you’ve heard at a reading before. Come hear them the way they were meant to be heard: read aloud, and accompanied by music and dance.
Come one and all, and celebrate BOOK OF LOVE.
Entry is complimentary but we ask you reserve a free ticket on Eventbrite.
