ART TALK/ART WALK: : Creating Art that Sees the Extraordinary in the Ordinary

September 4 @ 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Free

ART TALK/ART WALK is a series of informal, moderated, 45-minute talks with artists followed by a guided Art Walk to a selection of galleries, artist-run centres and artist studios open late for First Fridays in the Exchange.
If you can’t attend the Talk in person, please visit our website to join us online!
After registering with Eventbrite, you will receive an email containing a Zoom link to the Talk.

On September 4, join us for a conversation with artists Eduardo and Juca Aquino, who explore the beauty and unexpected possibilities of everyday objects.
Using found materials, urban debris, old posters, tools, and layers of paint, they transform the overlooked into compelling art.
This Art Talk will explore how arbitrary chance, creativity, and careful selection shape their work.
Also, how the unpredictable can become something else when we simply see it openly and imaginatively.
Moderated by Susan Freig.
