Rebecca Chambers
Rebecca Chambers sets her compass by Tom Robbins’ quote: “to specialize is to brush one tooth.”
On any given day, you may find her singing the national anthem at a Red River College convocation, serving on the local school board, teaching a room full of adults how to make moccasins, developing a new business idea with a friend, or creating bespangled custom western wear for Juno award-winning country artists.
Rebecca has earned degrees and diplomas in Music, Education, Business Administration and Apparel Design, and delights in discovering the ways these disparate interests compliment one another.
Driven by curiosity and commitment to community, Rebecca is known on social media for synthesizing and relating buzz-worthy topics to larger trends and issues.
In the Free Press, Rebecca explores what it means to be a Winnipegger by layering experiences and reactions to current events upon our unique and sometimes contentious history and culture.
