The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure returns to Winnipeg for its 35th annual event on Sunday, October 4th.

The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to the breast cancer cause. This year, the Winnipeg Run moves to a scenic new venue at Assiniboine Park!
Whether you choose to walk or run our 5k or 1k routes, your participation ensures that no one has to face breast cancer alone. Participation is open to everyone, including children and four-legged friends, and can also be virtual if preferred by registering at My Run. Anywhere. Any Way.

With 1 in 8 women expected to face a diagnosis in their lifetime, we run to save lives, improve lives and drive collective action against breast cancer. The Run is one powerful day, but the impact lasts far beyond. By participating in the Run, you help fund research breakthroughs and vital support – changing what the future looks like for someone facing breast cancer.

Event highlights:

Participants of Hope. Honouring, connecting, and celebrating survivors and individuals living with and beyond breast cancer.
Community action. Main stage entertainment, group warm-ups, local food, and sponsor booths.
Impact and progress. Supporting research that has helped reduce breast cancer mortality in Canada by nearly 50% since its peak.
