“Reimagined Storytelling Through Woven and Rich Layers of Collage”
A conversation with artist Anna Binta Diallo
Moderated by Susan Freig

Award-winning artist Anna Binta Diallo creates unexpected stories about identity through memory and nostalgia.
She works in sculpture, video, and installation, and looks at how identity is shaped by migration, displacement, and the complex relationships between language, history, and environment.
She layers images that she finds into large, site-specific installations to create dynamic, instinctual, and rich stories.
Anna Binta will present examples of her creative, thoughtful, yet whimsical art, which will captivate you.
