Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour

This year’s 50th anniversary Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the
largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world! Hot on the heels of the
Festival, the World Tour celebrates amazing achievements in outdoor storytelling and
filmmaking worldwide, with stops planned in over 600 communities and more than 40
countries across the globe.
The Manitoba Section of Alpine Club of Canada (ACC) will carefully select award-winning
and audience favorite films from the over 400 entries submitted to the Festival. Please note:
Some films are rated PG (not recommended for young children, coarse language).
“The strength and ability of the subjects to persevere in their passion often at their own personal
pain is awe-inspiring,” said patron Lisa Hilton in response to last year’s screening.
“The cinematography is mind blowing! I brought someone for their first time and she loved it!”
Traveling to remote vistas, analyzing topical environmental issues, and bringing audiences
up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports the 2025/2026 World Tour is an
exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.
Join the Manitoba Section of the ACC for the club’s annual fundraiser event. It brings the
spirit of outdoor adventure to Winnipeg, at the Centennial Concert Hall on Saturday,
January 31, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The event will host a trade show of outdoor retailers, guides,
authors, conservationists and more beginning at 6:00 p.m.
