Reviving Our Riparian Ecosystems: A Community Planting Workshop

Join us for a hands-on Riparian Restoration Workshop focused on restoring healthy ecosystems and creating habitat for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife.
Led by Applied Ecologist Chris Penner, participants will learn about the importance of riparian areas—the transition zones between land and water—and take part in practical restoration activities to improve the ecological health of the site.
Together, we’ll carry out remediation work and plant native species that help stabilize soil, support biodiversity, and provide essential food and habitat for local bird and pollinator populations.
This workshop is an opportunity to learn through hands-on experience, connect with others who care about the environment, and make a meaningful contribution to local ecosystem restoration.
What to Bring: Garden gloves and clothing suitable for outdoor work.
Offered in collaboration with Seeds of Life Alliance (SOLA) and the St. Norbert Arts Centre, with generous sponsorship from Nature Canada.
