Spring School Series – Walking Tours

This spring, Turtle Tours is inviting school groups to The Forks for an Indigenous-led walking tour rooted in place, story, and connection.
Instead of learning from a textbook, students walk the land where thousands of years of history happened. Through storytelling and discussion, they learn about treaties, trade, the rivers, and Indigenous perspectives from guides who are connected to this place.
It’s a simple but powerful shift, students don’t just learn about history, they experience it.
The 60-minute tour is designed for Grades 4–12 and supports what students are already learning in the classroom, including Social Studies, Indigenous Studies, Geography, Civics, Economics, and oral storytelling.
Spring bookings are open for April, May, and June, with group sizes up to 30 students.
For teachers looking for something meaningful, local, and actually engaging for their students… this is it.
