True Stories from the Slums of Bangladesh

November 18 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Free

Start With Mothers by Amarok Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the most disadvantaged children on Earth by teaching their mothers to become neighbourhood teachers.

We are organizing a community event called An Evening of True Stories from the Slums of Bangladesh, which will take place on November 18 at St. Boniface Cultural Centre, 340 Provencher Blvd. The event is free and open to the public, and aims to raise awareness of Amarok Society’s vision of bringing progress to some of the most underprivileged populations through the means of education.

Here are the event details:

You’re Invited to an Evening of True Stories from the Slums of Bangladesh

The public is cordially invited to attend a free evening of music and storytelling that brings to life the powerful and moving tales from the slums of Bangladesh.

Best-selling author Gem Munro will guide attendees on a journey of discovery, struggle, resilience, and hope — an experience that will open hearts and broaden perspectives.

Come listen, learn, and be inspired by the voices that too often go unheard.
All are welcome — bring your curiosity and compassion.

This is brought to you by Amarok Society: Start With Mothers, the Rotary Club of Dryden and with the help of Winnipeg Rotary Clubs
