Winter Carnival

Join MHV for our Winter Carnival! Enjoy a day filled with indoor and outdoor activities, a hot food canteen, and Pioneer demonstrations & interpretation. Celebrate the winter season with classic Canadian activities like a bonfire, Crokicurl, skating, and snowshoeing!

What to Expect
Our jam-packed day will include:
• Skating, Snowshoeing, Kicksledding: Try out classic Canadian winter activities. Don’t own the gear? We offer skate, snowshoe, and kicksled rentals!
• Crokicurl Tournament: Create a team and sign up for our Crokicurl Tournament.
• Sleigh Rides: Take a ride on a one-horse open sleigh. Sleigh rides $2.
• Valentine Card Making: Bring your kids to make their own handmade Valentine card!
• Pioneer Demonstrations & Interpreting: Enjoy interpretation in the Gerhard Ens Gallery and various indoor Pioneer demonstrations in the Permanent Gallery.
• Storytime in the Semlin: Listen to the story of a Mennonite family’s first winter in Manitoba.
• Snow Sculpting: Try your hand at creating a snow masterpiece! We provide the tools; you bring the creativity!
• Crokinole Tournament: Feeling competitive? Sign up for our Crokinole Tournament. (Not to get confused with the Crokicurl Tournament!)
• Hot Food Canteen: Warm up and fill up with a hot food canteen. (Menu & prices coming soon.)
• Light Show: Stay till 4pm to see our Light Show (Light Show is on every Saturday from 4pm-8pm from December – February).
