Share your experience on Winnipeg Transit’s new network
Winnipeg’s public transit system overhauled its network on June 29, changing nearly every route and many stops.
The new “spine-and-feeder” network is designed to be more reliable and easier to navigate than the previous “hub-and-spoke” system. Under the new network, a bus is expected to arrive every five to 15 minutes along the most frequent routes during peak periods, while connector route buses come every 15 to 30 minutes. However, more transfers are required and community route service ends earlier in the evenings and on weekends, in some cases replaced by on-request service.
We invited Winnipeggers to share their experiences with the new system. Thanks to everyone who shared their story. You can read a selection of the feedback we received here.
