Customer Service Representative – 12 Month Term – Full Time
The Customer Service Representative delivers high-quality support in a fast-paced inbound and outbound call centre environment. This role drives subscription growth through sales, renewals, and retention while ensuring a positive customer experience. The CSR also handles account updates, follows up with customers, and supports team operations as needed.
Duties Include:
- Provide quality customer service in both inbound and outbound call centre
- Actively participating in sales programs to maintain and increase circulation
- Continually promote our monthly pre-payment plans
- Follow up calls to new starts and restarts to ensure quality service
- Contacting existing customer base to renew their subscriptions
- In the case of potential cancellations, identifying the customers’ needs to improve service & attempting to retain them as a subscriber
- Complete accurate customer account transactions during calls
- Clerical support functions or other duties for Circulation Department as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to provide professional and courteous customers service in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to quality service and follow through
- Experience in telephone service or sales
- Previous computer and keyboarding experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to perform required duties with minimum supervision
- Ability to perform productively in a team environment
- Possess a positive attitude with a willingness to learn
