WFP Movie Night!

The format is simple: we choose a film, you register for free on Eventbrite and you’ll receive a password to join in on a viewing party on our website at a specific date and time so we can all watch together and chat online.

To get your free ticket, head to Eventbrite to register. Then, all you have to do is scroll to the bottom of this page and input the password you receive from Eventbrite, which will get sent to you two hours before the event start time.

After a 75 year-old mother gets fired from her job, her son takes her on a bucket-list adventure to reclaim her life. As she struggles to find work, he documents a journey that uncovers the betrayals plaguing her past and the economic insecurity soon to shape not only her future, but that of an entire generation.

This event is co-presented by the Centre on Aging and the Manitoba Seniors Coalition.

A 30-minute panel discussion will immediately follow the screening and will take place on the Winnipeg Free Press’s YouTube channel. Panelists include Sian-Pierre Regis and Rebecca Danigelis, the mother-son duo from the film; Michelle Porter, PhD, Director, Centre on Aging, University of Manitoba; and Jeff Palamar, Partner, Taylor McCaffrey LLP.

WHERE: At your home! Register for tickets (it’s free) at wfp.to/eventbrite and a password to join the party will be sent out two hours before the start time. Registration will remain open until 4 p.m. CDT on March 22nd, or until all available tickets are claimed.
