Faouzia on Kelly Clarkson todayManitoba pop singer Faouzia will appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show today.

The Moroccan-born vocalist, who grew up in Carman, released her debut album, Film Noir, on Nov. 7. Known for her collaborations with such artist as John Legend and David Guetta, she contributed Arabic vocals to a version of Clarkson’s single I Dare You, released in 2020.

She will be performing on the NBC daytime talk show, which will also feature guests Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley — stars of the new film Hamnet — and actor/podcaster Matt Rogers. The Kelly Clarkson Show airs at 5 p.m. on Citytv.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Leo Beath's 15 points helped UC San Diego defeat Loyola Marymount 67-57 on Tuesday night.

Beath also added three steals for the Tritons (10-1). Tom Beattie scored 12 points and added six rebounds. Hudson Mayes finished with 11 points.

The Lions (7-4) were led by Rodney Brown Jr., who recorded 19 points. Myron Amey Jr. added 16 points for Loyola Marymount. Jalen Shelley finished with eight points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.

Mayes scored seven points in the first half to help put the Tritons ahead 34-26 at the break. UCSD used an 11-2 run to make it a 39-28 lead with 16:16 left in the game. Beath scored nine second-half points.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) — Patrick McMahon had 26 points in Montana State's 83-80 victory over Cal Poly on Tuesday night.

McMahon's dunk with 27 seconds left gave Montana State an 81-78 lead. Hamad Mousa answered with a layup to pull Cal Poly to 81-80. McMahon added another dunk with 12 seconds to go and Mousa missed a deep 3-pointer to end it.

McMahon also contributed five assists for the Bobcats (5-7). Christian King added a career-high 16 points to go with eight rebounds. Seth Amunrud finished with 14 points.

The Mustangs (5-7) were led by Cayden Ward, who finished with 25 points and eight rebounds. Mousa added 16 points for Cal Poly. Peter Bandelj put up 14 points, six rebounds and four assists.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Dominique Daniels Jr. scored 30 points as California Baptist beat Southern 75-67 on Tuesday night.

Daniels also contributed six rebounds and six assists for the Lancers (9-3). Thomas Ndong scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Martel Williams had 10 points.

The Jaguars (4-7) were led by Cam Amboree, who posted 18 points. Malek Abdelgowad added 11 points for Southern. Damariee Jones had 10 points and two steals.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Caden Creel threw a touchdown pass, Deondre Johnson had six receptions for 101 yards, and Jacksonville State beat Troy 17-13 on Tuesday night to win the Salute to Veterans Bowl.

Andrew Paul’s 1-yard run off a direct snap gave the Gamecocks a 17-13 lead with 5:44 remaining. With about a minute left, Tucker Kilcrease drove Troy past midfield but his Hail Mary pass-attempt to DJ Epps on the final play was knocked down in the end zone.

Creel completed 14 of 20 passes for 173 yards that included a 22-yard touchdown pass to Brock Rechsteiner in the first quarter. Garrison Rippa added a 51-yard field goal in the third for Jacksonville State (9-5).

Kilcrease was 12-of-23 passing for 116 yards and threw two interceptions for Troy (8-6), which ended a 79-game win streak when leading heading into the fourth quarter.

DENVER (AP) — Carson Johnson's 24 points helped Denver defeat UC-Colorado Springs 129-93 on Tuesday night.

Johnson went 8 of 13 from the field (6 for 6 from 3-point range) for the Pioneers (6-7). Jeremiah Burke scored 23 points and added eight rebounds. Shaun Wysocki shot 7 of 9 from the field and 5 for 6 from the line to finish with 19 points.

Mario Williams Jr. led the Mountain Lions in scoring, finishing with 35 points. UC-Colorado Springs also got 11 points and four assists from Gavin Carter.
